I have arthritis in my right shoulder. Two years ago I had surgery in my left shoulder but I had a bone spur and a torn rotor cuff. I'm right handed and at times I can't even pick up things over a few pounds. Is there any way surgery can help this? I have already done the P/T and the shots and P/T hurt more then helped and the shots have not worked, it has been 3 weeks since my doctor tried the shot. He seems to say I have to just live with it in a round about way. I'm only 50 years old I hope there is some thing else out there more positive. He put me on morphine 60mg twice a day and I really don't want to keep taking it but he said that was about all he can do for me!
